Home of Anson. Born December 23, 1926 in Abilene, Ann was a daughter of the late Creath and Rena (Campbell) Harvey. She attended school in Abilene until the tenth grade and graduated from Lueders High School. It was at Lueders where she met the love of her life, Jerry Mack Doty. They married on January 1, 1945. Mack preceded her in death on November 13, 2013. Ann was a homemaker and for many years wrapped gifts at Christmas time for Luskeys. She volunteered in many school activities when her boys, Jerry and Bob, were in school serving as room mother and class trip chaperone. Ann devoted many years to teaching children’s Bible classes and working in the Nugent Church of Christ where she was a member for 70 plus years. She was always one of the first ones to take food when someone at church or in the community had a need. She will be fondly remembered for “Granny’s” barbeque sauce, ribs, chicken salad, fudge and Sunday lunches of roast and fried corn bread. Ann was a loving mother, mother-in-law, Granny and Great Granny.
