SHS anglers place at Lake Ray Roberts event

Clayton Easter and Mason Barney caught five fish weighing 11.87 pounds and finished in 5th place winning $100 in gift cards and plaques when the SHS Bass Club competed on March 6 at Lake Ray Roberts.
Ben Kirbo and Coy Eakin finished in 18th place catching two fish weighing 7.37 pounds and received $30 gift cards when the SHS Bass Club competed on March 6 at Lake Ray Roberts.

Clayton Easter and Mason Barney caught five fish weighing 11.87 pounds and finished in 5th place winning $100 in gift cards and plaques.

Ben Kirbo and Coy Eakin finished in 18th place catching two fish weighing 7.37 pounds and received $30 gift cards.

There were a total of 183 teams fishing this tournament and only 106 fish caught by 65 teams. Average weight was 3.42lbs, average fish per team .58 and average weight per team 1.97lbs. SHS had 7 teams fishing.

Clayton and Mason are currently sitting in 1st place for Angler of the Year with 1,978 points behind a Burleson team with 1,976 points. The SHS Bass Club is in fifth place in team standings out of 34 schools in the West Division.

The last regular season tournament will be in Granbury on March 20, rescheduled after bad weather.
