Honeybees bounce back from second district loss with sweep over Venus

The Stephenville Honeybees dropped their second district 8-4A match last Friday against No. 2 Glen Rose, but bounced back Tuesday night with a dominating sweep over district foe Venus. 

Stephenville brought out all of the firepower for the two teams' second match up of the season as they clinched the season sweep with set wins of 25-12, 25-8 and 25-10. 

Continuing her good form was Nicona Stilwell who led Stephenville with 11 kills in the match. Also posting a solid kill performance was Chloe Goodman who recorded another six. 

Setter Taylor Garber led the team with 11 assists, while Hannah Huckabee added an additional eight. 

Libero Hailey Martin continued to rack up her dig total on the season as she led the team with 17. 

The Honeybees will be back in action on Friday when they host Midlothian Heritage.
