Match-ups for Honeybees, Yellow Jackets set in next round of playoffs

After an almost perfect weekend for the Stephenville baseball and softball programs, they'll hit the diamond again on a bit of a different schedule this week.
Once again, both programs will take part in a three-game series. The Yellow Jackets are slated to take on Decatur, the undefeated district 8-4A champs, while the Honeybees will face-off against Kennedale, the third place finisher in 7-4A.
The Honeybees enter the three-game series with Kennedale riding the high of their first ever area championship.
Standing in their way of advancing to the regional semis, is a Kennedale team that's gone 12-16 on the season and 7-3 in district play. Kennedale finished one game behind Alvarado, who the Honeybees swept in the area round, in the district 7-4A standings.
As of Tuesday, May 10, the Honeybees and Kennedale are scheduled to play in a three-game series which will begin on Thursday at 7 p.m. Game two and three (if necessary) will start on Friday at 5 p.m. All games will be played in Brock.
Decatur stands in the way of the Yellow Jackets in the area round and the Eagles won't be any kind of a pushover.
On the season, Decatur finished with a 19-8-1 record and a perfect 8-0 record in district play.
In the first round, Decatur defeated Kennedale in two games 7-5, 7-5.
The Yellow Jackets and Decatur are scheduled to play in a three-game series which will begin on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Game two is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. and game three (if necessary) will be played on Saturday at 1 p.m. All games will be played at Graford High School.
