The Stephenville Honeybees turned a cold evening into a delightful experience Tuesday as they thumped Alvarado 7-0.

Stephenville’s intensity was a level above their competitions as soon as the first whistle was blown. It only took one minute and 40 seconds for the Honeybees to find the net for the first time as Alexis De Los Santos hit a brilliant finesse shot that found the top corner.

Once the seal on Alvarado’s net was broken, the goals began to pour in.

Striker Julie Morken netted a first half hat-trick before scoring her fourth in the second half, while midfielder Savannah Alford also scored two goals in the first 40 minutes.

The win was a much needed result after a tough 0-0 draw last week against Grabury and the Honeybees will look to carry their success over into their next game in San Angelo against Lakeview.
