Loyd wins first title in Keene

Walker Loyd raced into his senior cross country campaign with his first individual victory and a personal-record time of 16 minutes, 15 seconds at a meet in Keene Wednesday.

Loyd led the Yellow Jackets to third place overall while the junior varsity team was led by Michael Fick.

Junior Ashtin Ivey was fifth in the varsity girls race, followed by Allie Lewis in 23rd and Indra Garcia in 27th. The Honeybees finished fourth despite the absence of two varsity runners.

Amanda Ensinger led the JV Bees, followed by Savana Fly and Avery Contreras.
