Hogan Legacy golf tournament set for Friday

A few team slots remain for Friday’s Ben Hogan Legacy Golf Tournament at Legends Country Club in Stephenville.

The annual event was rescheduled from early June when heavy rains flooded area golf courses.

Registration gets underway at 7 a.m., along with breakfast, and tee off is at 9 a.m.  Golfers have several opportunities to win prizes in hole-in-one competitions. Prizes include a new Chevy Spark, an online shopping spree from Travis Matthew apparel, a Fairmont Resort stay, and a set of TaylorMade Speedblade irons, all sponsored by Bruner Motors.

A post-event hole-in-one contest provides 15 golfers with the chance to win the grand prize -- an all-expense paid trip to the 2017 Masters.

Wrapping up the day’s activities will be a fajita lunch, auctions, drawing for a set of Ben Hogan golf clubs with bag and custom fitting, and entertainment.

The Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company will be on hand to demonstrate their new clubs, including hybrids which were introduced this spring at the PGA show in Orlando.

Registration is $100 per golfer with proceeds benefiting the Ben Hogan Museum of Dublin. For more information, call Karen Wright, 254 445-1919 or 254 977-4410.
