Tigers hammer Wolfe City

The Hico Tigers extended their wining streak to six games as they advanced into the Class 2A regional semifinals with a 33-6 thumping of Wolfe City Friday night in Corsicana.

Hico, now 7-4 on the season, faces No. 8 Crawford, a 57-7 winner over Alvord Friday night, at 7:30 Friday in Glen Rose.

The Tigers rolled for 272 yards rushing, led by Dakia Mullins, who finished the night with 136 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.

Defensively, HHS limited Wolfe City to 92 total yards.

Hico, the District 7-2 A champion, went unbeaten through the district gauntlet,  and has allowed just Wolfe City’s six points in its last four games.
