Texas retail gasoline prices drop 3 cents, now at $2.03
COPPELL, Texas (AP) — The average price of gas in Texas this week is at $2.03 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, a drop of 3 cents from last week.
AAA Texas said Thursday that this week's average is 50 cents less per gallon than last year.
Across the state, drivers in El Paso are paying the most on average at $2.14 per gallon, while Amarillo drivers are paying the least at $1.86.
AAA Texas say the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is at $2.19, which is three cents less than last week and 56 cents less per gallon than last year.
AAA Texas says that market analysts say gas prices likely will remain relatively low compared to recent years for the remainder of the summer.
