Going above and beyond

Last month was very traumatic for many of our citizens who were directly affected by the wildfire in Bluff Dale. While that fire was being worked there was another fire on CR 109. Sgt. Southerland and Sgt. Paulsen with the Erath County Sheriff's Office stepped up and went above and beyond in the time of need during these fires. Sgt. Southerland took command of the Bluff Dale fire scene and coordinated all law enforcement personnel ensuring the safe evacuation of the citizens and property while that fire was being worked. Sgt. Paulsen took command of the CR 109 fire scene coordinating the Law Enforcement personnel on that fire. Both did an amazing job ensuring that all Law Enforcement officers and citizens remained safe and were recognized for their efforts.
