Hammond wins world championship in barrel racing

Stephenville's Maddison Hammond recently won the 2021 National Little Britches Little Wranglers world championship in barrel racing.

Stephenville's Maddison Hammond recently won the 2021 National Little Britches Little Wranglers world championship in barrel racing at the Lazy E arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Here she is pictured with her barrel horse, Handyman, and her pole horse, Slim Jim.

The National Little Britches Finals Rodeo was held July 4-11 at the Lazy E arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Hammond competed in the Little Wranglers barrels and poles. She won the barrels for the world standings and the average standings and also placed in the top 10 in the world standings in poles.

Her barrel horse's name is Handyman and her pole horse is Slim Jim.

Hammond won a saddle, five buckles, some Wrangler jeans and a scholarship.

Hammond is the current Miss Cowboy Capital PRCA Princess in Stephenville and going into the fifth grade.

She is the daughter of Paige and Wrangler Hammond and has a little brother, Brixton Hammond.
