Honoring a fallen officer

The Erath County Sheriff's Office along with Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Game Wardens, Stephenville Police Department, Tarleton Police Department, and Dublin Police Department honored fallen DPS Trooper Chad Walker at 1 p.m. on April 1 by activating the red and blue lights on their vehicles. Walker was shot on March 26 during a motorist assist in Limestone County outside of Mexia. Walker made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the citizens of Texas.
The Erath County Sheriff's Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Game Wardens, Stephenville Police Department, Tarleton Police Department, and Dublin Police Department honored fallen DPS Trooper Chad Walker by activating the red and blue lights on their vehicles. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called on fellow officers to flash their vehicle lights for a full minute in respect of Trooper Walker. He also urged Texans to "stand with our police and support them as they work tirelessly to keep our communities safe."
