Drive-thru beer barns are nothing new in Texas, but they are in Stephenville.

Brothers Beer Barn, located at 2915 E. Washington Street, opened last week and offers a wide-range of beer and wine for people in a hurry.

“We saw a need and people seemed to want this,” said Brad Stearnes who owns the business with his partner Jason Davis. “We are located on 14 acres of land and we are rolling the dice, hoping it’s a hit.”

Brothers Beer Barn boasts the largest cooler in Erath County.

“We have all the craft beer you can imagine,” Stearnes said. “We also have ciders and a great Mexican selection and we carry kegs and we will do special orders for kegs with any high-end beer.”

Beginning next week, they will also carry wine - but only the white variety.

“We will carry chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio,” he said. “We worry that the Texas heat in the summer would ruin red wine.”

Brothers Beer Barn is open from noon-midnight seven days a week, with the exception of Saturday when they remain open until 1 a.m.
