Paradise Pools is a haven for all things summer

Brent Virgin, owner of Paradise Pools, offers pool maintenance and free water testing at his brand new store located in the Staples shopping center.

Brent Virgin grew up in Stephenville and graduated from Stephenville High School in 2001, so he knows a lot about the needs of locals, which is what prompted him to open a brand new business - Paradise Pools.

The newly-opened storefront is a haven for all things summer and the newest go-to place for owners of swimming pools.

The store boasts all the pool supplies you might need as well as toys, rafts, an O’Neill clothing line that includes sundresses, shorts, shirts, tank tops and shoes, Sun Bum sunscreen, lotions and lip balm and Corkcicle canteens and tumblers in every color, well, under the sun.

It’s a fun place to shop, but it also has a serious side - pool construction.

“My focus is on pool construction,” Brent said. “The store is great, but building pools is my main focus.”

Brent’s no stranger to pool construction. In fact, he has worked for years with his dad who owns Rocky Creek Ltd.

“I do the residential design and construction of custom homes,” he said.

What makes Paradise Pools unique, Brent says, is the fact that not only can he help you design and build the pool of your dreams, the service continues after the pool is built with customized maintenance plans that will keep the system running smoothly.

“I’ve been building pools for years and we can do anything,” he said. “Lots of people these days want ‘play pools’ with the beach entrance and big tanning ledges.”

Paradise Pools is located at 100 Wolfe Nursery Rd. STE 188, in the Staples shopping center.

They are open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and plan to open from noon - 4 p.m. on Sundays soon.

Stop by and check out all the great items they have for sell. You will no doubt leave with a smile on your face- and a few goodies in your bag (like I did).

They can be reached at 918-0466.
