Bundle up: An arctic blast is on the way

If you haven’t gotten out those heavy winter coats and mittens just yet, now would be a good time to do it.

North Texas is expected to get a dose of very cold temperatures - the coldest in more than two years - when a blast of winter air arrives this week.

Weather forecasters say an arctic blast will arrive Thursday morning with wind chills in the teens and afternoon highs only reaching the 30s.

Friday’s morning low is expected to dip to 20 degrees.

So if it’s Christmas weather you have been wishing for, you’re in luck.

Old Man Winter is on his way and it looks like he will be sticking around for a couple of days.
