The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the annual Safe Trick 'R Treat event kicking off at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Halloween is creeping up and so is the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Safe Trick ‘R Treat event taking place from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in downtown Stephenville.

“Safe Trick ‘R Treat is a fabulously fun, family-friendly event for the community to enjoy. We’re excited to once again partner with Timber Ridge Church for our Fun Zone and with First Baptist Church’s annual Trunk or Treat," Molly Self, programs and events coordinator with the Chamber, wrote in an email. "Our Costume Contest begins at 6:00 p.m. and we will give out five prizes for each age group and one Best Group award! Each year the costume contest grows and is always a joy for us to see the creativity of the kids and families in our community.”

More than 3,000 kids are expected to attend the event and the Chamber is offering many ways for businesses to get involved.

Chamber members can sign up for treat stations, prize donations for the costume contest, sponsorships and more.

Sponsorships will go towards sound, decor and signage, staging, seating, portable restrooms, enhanced activities, costume contest prizes, event promotion and photo backdrop.

The sponsorship levels are as follows:

  • Mummy of All Sponsors - $1,000 (four available)
  • Scarecrow - $500 (eight available)
  • Pumpkin - $250 (unlimited)
  • Candy Corn - $100 (unlimited)
