Erath County United Way surpassed its 2016 campaign goal receiving a grand total of $281,119.06.

Erath County United Way hosted its 2016 campaign celebration Friday at City Hall at City Limits to commemorate those involved in helping the organization surpass its goal of $250K.

“United Way is extremely grateful for our community and the contributions that they’ve made,” said Lisa Scroggins, executive director of ECUW. “We’ve exceeded our campaign goal of $250,000 and we reached $281,000. We funded 21 non-profits and that’s up from the previous years. It’s a great honor that people believe in our efforts.”

The top 20 contributors alone collectively surpassed the campaign goal, raising a total of $257,141. Scroggins added that it wouldn’t have been possible without the contributions from the communities and businesses of Erath County.

“We’re really excited about the campaign and overall success and to meet our goal that we have set for ourselves,” said Blayne Baley, board member. “We’re excited for another great year and the support of the community.”

ECUW is an organization dedicated to supporting the community, youth, victim’s advocacy and special services.
