Stephenville ISD will hold its school board election in conjunction with the city on Saturday, May 7, and both incumbents say they will seek another term.

Board president Dr. Ann Calahan is seeking her fifth three-year term.

Calahan said Tuesday that a few of the things she is most proud of during her time in office include working with the community to pass the bond election, the renovation of Chamberlin and Central elementary schools and hiring Matt Underwood as superintendent.

"And of course rolling out those iPads like we did (Tuesday)," she said.

If re-elected Calahan said she will continue to focus on technology and working with the community, parents and staff to build strong relationships.

Scott Osmon, vice president of the board, will seek his second term.

"I'm really proud of the 1-1 initiative and trying to get more technology inside the classrooms," Osmon said. "We are working to put technology into the hands of every student and I am very proud of that."

Filing begins Wednesday through 5 p.m. Feb. 19.

Those interested can pick up an application at the SISD administration building.
