The 4th annual Memphis' March will take place Saturday, Nov. 28, at Greens Creek Methodist Church in Dublin. Proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes in memory of Memphis Rein Magin.

The story of Matt and Brittany Magin may be familiar to some. The couple lost their daughter, Memphis Rein Magin, at 13-days-old and have now made it their mission to honor her memory through Memphis’ March—5K and one-mile fun run benefiting the March of Dimes - an organization that showed them support in their time of need.

The 4th annual Memphis’ March will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Greens Creek Methodist Church in Dublin.

“Matt and Brittany know she was sent to them for a reason,” reads the Memphis’ March Facebook page. “And if it was to help other babies, then that is what we need to do.”

The March of Dimes was founded by President Franklin Roosevelt and is dedicated to fighting premature birth—leading the way in discovering the genetic causes of birth defects, promoting newborn screenings and educating medical professionals, and the public, about the best practices for a healthy pregnancy.

Memphis’ March will also include other activities, such as live entertainment, a bounce house and barbecue sandwiches.

“This is the fourth year we’ve done Memphis’ March and I want to say we’ve raised about $8,000 to $9,000 every year,” said Kelly Magin, Brittany’s sister-in-law.

Registration for the race is $25 per person and those who register by Friday are guaranteed a ‘Memphis’ March’ T-shirt.

Registration can be done by visiting, https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Dublin/MemphisMarch or the morning of the race.

More information on the event can be found at the Memphis’ March Facebook page.
