Attendees at the 2014 Hico Billy the Kid Car Show.

The 5th annual Billy the Kid Rides Again Open Car Show will be held Saturday in downtown Hico. The event is one of the best-attended events held in Hico each year and is perfectly family-friendly.

Duane Heinricks of Hico’s Billy the Kid Museum said there are more than 100 participants in the show who come from all over Texas and surrounding states.

The car show features 50s and 60s music all day long and an MC who moderates the event throughout the day as well as the awards ceremony. The streets will be filled with a variety of vendors, show cars, entertainment by The Historic Granbury Gunfighters, live auction, and a chocolate-making demonstration by Wiseman’s Chocolate Factory.

The opening ceremony starts at 9 a.m. and the show will conclude at 4.
