DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police say a woman has been charged with drowning her year-old son in a bathtub.

Sr. Cpl. Ashaki (uh-SHAH'-kee) Hardeman says 25-year-old Chloe Menager has been charged with capital murder. Menager was being held Friday on $1 million bond. Online jail records did not list an attorney for her.

Hardeman declined to release the child's name. A police report says the woman caused the death by allegedly holding the boy under water in a bathtub.

Dallas police around 4:30 p.m. Thursday stopped a vehicle and the driver said he had a call that his son was deceased. Officers followed the man to a residence, where the body was found. The mother was also at the scene.

The father's name hasn't been released.

Police did not immediately provide further details.
