Plans are under way for the second annual community Christmas program, sponsored by Cross Timbers Area Community Theatre.

This year's play, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," will be held Dec. 19 and event organizers are already gearing up for the big event.

Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council.

"'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever' has a large cast of characters of all ages," said CTFS Executive Director Julie Crouch. "So come show off your talents and be a part of this exciting theatrical experience. We are looking forward to making this an annual event."

Last year's play, "Little Town of Christmas" was a huge success.

Mica Hassler Parsons, former Tarleton theatre student and current theatre teacher at Henderson Junior High, will direct the production.

The mission of the Cross Timbers Area Community Theatre is to give local residents an opportunity to express themselves through a variety of theatrical projects that will entertain area audiences.
