FFA Meats team places at state

The Stephenville FFA Meats Evaluation Team placed eighth at the state contest held on Saturday on the campus of Texas A&M University. The team consists of Ryan Hess, Kirsten Cline, Shayla Mader, and Joseph Gray. According to the state FFA website, students develop skills for careers in the meat animal industry as they complete a written exam; evaluate beef carcasses for quality and yield grade; identify various meat cuts, place beef, lamb and pork carcasses, and place wholesale and/or retail cuts.
Stephenville FFA's Ryan Hess scored as the third high individual overall in the state meats evaluation contest on Saturday.
