SISD to tackle short agenda, recognize students

The Stephenville ISD board of trustees will tackle a short agenda at the Monday, Dec. 12, meeting and recognize students for a variety of accomplishments.

The board will recognize the Stephenville High School Yellow Jacket Band for the record area advancements, Stephenville High School FFA National and State Qualifiers, the SHS cheerleaders for displaying SISD’s Core Value of initiative and a Central Elementary student for displaying the district’s Core Value of relationship.

Other agenda items will include the Stephenville Education Foundation Grants for fall 2016, Special Education Olympics and the superintendent’s report.

Matt Underwood’s report will consist of:

  • Board member continuing education hours (January-December 2016)
  • TASB SLI options
  • Community facility meeting - Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017
  • Code of conduct and operating procedures
  • T-TESS growth measure

The SISD board will also review financial statements, budget amendments, BuyBoard rebates and hear the annual audit and compliance report for Fiscal Year 2015-2016.
