SHS senior Alex Jimenez wants to attend NYU and become a sports agent.

Alex Jimenez, a senior at Stephenville High School, has loved baseball since he was a child.

He currently plays for the high school team and aspires to represent professional athletes as a sports agent.

But his last season of high school baseball has been halted due to winter weather.

“It’s been pretty tough and we’ve cancelled a lot of games and practices,” he said. “We still can’t get on our field.”

He said he would love to attend New York University, in the city where his father grew up. His second choice would be to attend the University of Texas.

“A lot of people who are sports agents don’t ever get a big name,” he said. “You need a lot of connections, that really helps to get you where you want to be.”

He is excited about the profession and wants to make as much money as he can representing a large group of athletes.

“You can be one of the most powerful people in sports if you’re the right person,” he said. “If you work hard and do what you need to do then it’ll happen eventually.”

Jimenez is also involved in student council and NHS.
