Walmart Stephenville has now extended its hours and will close at 10 p.m.

Walmart Stephenville announced on its Facebook page Monday afternoon that it would be extending store hours and will remain open until 10 p.m.

Walmart Stephenville’s Facebook post reads, “We’ve updated our store hours so we can serve you better! We're now open until 10pm!”

Ever since March 19, Walmart stores around the nation have been closing at 8:30, to help ensure that associates could clean and stock products.

Recently, Walmart announced that by Aug. 17, more than 4,000 of their 4,700 stores would expand their closing time from 8:30-10 p.m., providing customers with greater options to shop for food, medicine and supplies that they need.

Walmart’s senior shopping hour that takes place every Tuesday morning for those ages 60 and older has also been extended.

"We will continue the health and safety measures currently in place, such as social distancing, health screenings, plastic barriers at the registers and masks,” Walmart officials told USA TODAY.
