Splashville opens Monday with new changes
Stephenville’s only water park, Splashville, is set to open on Monday, June 15, with many changes being put in place to keep the community safe from contracting the coronavirus.
“Slides have been repainted. All of the amenities have been repainted. All of the splash features have been resurfaced or T-scaled. Everybody has been trained and in the water for the past two weeks, so we are fully staffed and ready to greet the community,” said Jennifer Basham, parks and leisure services director.
Regular pool hours are from 12-7 p.m., but the pool is also offering a scheduled senior/sensory swim hour from 10:30-11:30 a.m. each morning, with a max of five immediate family members allowed per entry.
Temperature checks will be administered to each guest before they will be allowed to enter the gates.
The pool will only be open at 25 percent occupancy (165 people) and all ages count toward the occupancy.
Lines to entry, concessions, lily pads, river and slides have social distancing marks and no tubes will be allowed in the lazy river.
To use a pfd (personal flotation device) guests must check out/in with staff.
Tent (birthday rentals) will be limited to 15 per tent.
Staff will wear masks when in contact with a patron and showers and lockers will remain closed this season.
