Football won't be on the minds of everyone headed to Aledo tonight. A premier area volleball battle is also scheduled between Stephenville and the Lady Cats.

Aledo sits atop the District 8-4A volleyball standings after a perfect 7-0 run through the first round of league play.

Stephenville is right on the heels of AHS at 6-1. The Honeybees' only loss in the first round of games was to Aledo, 3-1.

Since its district opening loss, Stephenville has strung together six consecutive wins, including a key 3-1 victory at Cleburne Tuesday to secure their current second-place spot.

Aledo has been the Honeybees' nemesis recently, having eliminated the Bees from the state playoffs last fall.

Sub-varsity action tonight begins at 5 p.m. Varsity play follows at approximately 6:30 p.m.
