Quarterback Michael Benton turned in another strong performance,accounting for three of Eastern's touchdowns. He finished with 167yards rushing and two touchdowns, including a 53-yarder. He also connected on a 27-yard touchdown pass. On 13 carries, he averaged12.8 yards.

Junior Jared Brock spearheaded a strong defensive effort for theBuffs during Saturday night's victory over Texas A&M-Commerce.The Abernathy, Texas, native led the squad with nine tackles (including five solo) and notched his first sack and interceptionof the season. The team would have held the Lions to under tenpoints but Commerce was able to put up a late touchdown with Brockand the WTAMU first team on the sidelines.
