Tarleton moved up a notch on the team leaderboard after round three at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships.
After entering the round in sixth, the TexAnns jumped into a tie for fifth Thursday at Memorial Park in Houston.
The fourth and final round tees off at 7 a.m. today with Maury Shock leading the TexAnns onto the first tee at 7:09 a.m.
Tarleton matched its team score from Tuesday, posting another round of 310. With the 313 added from Monday, the TexAnns have taken 933 strokes in three rounds.
Shraddhanjali Singh leads Tarleton despite having her highest score of the tournament on Wednesday. Her 78 put her at 12 over par 228 after 54 holes. She is tied for 11th overall.
Just behind Singh for the TexAnns is Carla Cooper, who is tied for 17th after a third round 74 put her 14 strokes above par. Cooper is followed overall by Andrea Lowe, who took 80 strokes on day three to enter the final round at 22 over 238. Melanie Tham completed Tarleton’s scorecard with a 78. She is currently 23 over for the tournament at 239.
Maury Shock’s total didn’t count on the team card for the second straight day. The freshman from Stephenville finished in 83 strokes and is at 30 over 246 for the championship.
Nova Southeastern and Rollins are tied atop the team standings at 887. Joanna Coe’s championship best round of 68 put her in the lead individually with a 54-hole score of four under par 212.
