E-T Staff Report It's no secret a re-match between Stephenville and Wichita Falls Rider could be looming in the area round of the post season.

And once again, it could be the most telling match-up concerning favorites to advance past the quarterfinal round in Class 4A Division II.

Region I again features three front runners in District 5 champ Rider and District 8 champ Everman, as well as runner-up Stephenville.

When Everman defeated Stephenville for the district championship last week, the Bulldogs also picked up a favorable playoff set-up.

The brackets allow Everman, as the champs, to avoid both Rider and Stephenville until the fourth round.

Making that half of the bracket evern more manageable for the Bulldogs is the absence of Wolfforth Frenship, which is competing in the Division I field this postseason.

With Frenship out of the picture, Birdville likely looms as Everman's biggest challenger.

Rider must first defeat Springtown, and Stephenville must get by Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt in bi-district play to set up a week two showdown.

Whoever takes the area match-up next week will be a heavy favorite in the regional semi-finals before a likely quarterfinal showdown that will produce Region I's representative in the state semi-finals.
