Two days after a thrilling come-from-behind win, the Tarleton State Texans are back in action at home.
The Texans (12-5) host Midwestern State Mustangs (13-4) at 8 p.m.
Tarleton must be sharp from the start against the Mustangs. A senior trio leads the team, starting with point guard Drew Coffman, a transfer from Texas Tech. Coffman is tops in the Lone Star Conference in assists, averaging 5.5 per game in addition to his 17 points.
Guard Chad Rickett is right behind Coffman, averaging 16.8 points per game. Heís explosive too, as he showed in his 30-point outburst in a win against West Texas A&M this weekend.
Center Eric Dawson (6-9) anchors the team, averaging 15.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and an LSC-best 3.4 blocks per game.
Following the Texansí 77-72 win against Eastern New Mexico, Tarleton head coach Lonn Reisman asked for another packed house Monday. The crowd played a key role in his teamís rally, he said, and urged them to repeat their performance this week.
