WARRENSBURG, MO. - Senior Westyn Rosiles and sophomore Logan Mynar competed at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional cross country meet Saturday in Warrensburg, Missouri, with Rosiles finishing 15th and Mynar finishing 40th out of 117 runners.
Rosiles, Tarleton's lone senior this season out of Carrollton, Texas earned himself All-Region honors for the second time in his four-year career with a time of 32:37 in the 10K race.
Mynar, out of Kopperal, Texas, ran in his second regional competition in two years at Tarleton, and performed well with a time of 33:41, good for 40th overall in the men's race. Mynar is just a sophomore and will be able to use his experiences in the future for the Texans.
"I thought they both did an outstanding job and I'm really proud of them," said cross country head coach Pat Ponder. "The weather was perfect, the course was in good condition, and there wasn't room for any excuses. I though they couldn't have ran any better than they did, and I am happy for them."
Westyn finishes up a successful senior season, in which he won three races for the Texans. Mynar will return next season as a junior with two regional meets already under his belt, and will look to use his experience to lead Tarleton next season.
