Stephenville remains No. 1 this week, as the Associated Press Class 4A football poll saw very little change from last week's rankings.

All of the top 10 teams were victorious on the gridiron last week, and one subtle change made the only difference in the poll.

New Braunfels, which has been picking up votes steadily all season, leaped past Wichita Falls Rider for the No. 5 spot. Rider is now No. 6.

Behind Stephenville, which received 19 of the 20 first place votes, is Highland Park and Corpus Christi Calallen at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

No. 4 Waco received the only first place nod not given to Stephenville.

Copperas Cove is sitting still at the No. 7 slot. CCHS was No. 1 in every 2007 poll until two weeks ago when the Bull Dawgs fell to Brownwood.

Everman, a District 8-4A rival of Stephenville, sits at No. 8. The Yellow Jackets visit Everman in the regular season finale for both teams on Nov. 9.

Houston-area power La Marque is still No. 9, while Kerrville Tivy remains No. 10.
