The six Tarleton Texans headed to nationals in track and field are the only athletes still in action from the 2007-08 academic year. Tarleton posted its best finish in school history at the Lone Star Conference Meet by coming in second on the menís side. The women finished third in the LSC. Garrett Thomas, a sophomore from Gail, will compete at nationals in the 110m hurdles, while Chayden Feist, a junior from Comanche, has qualified in the pole vault. The menís 4x100m relay team will also be in action and consists of Cameron Wilson, a sophomore from Glenn Height; Theo Miller, a senior from Everman; Roderick Smith, a freshman from Mesquite, and Tremaine Wright, a junior from Everman. Smith and Wright also play football for the Texans. The teamís best time of 40.83 seconds is the 12th fastest in the country. The NCAA Division II championships are Thursday-Saturday in Walnut, Calif.
