Area teams prepare for Bi-District

Seven area school's have repeated as the Cross Timbers' only playoff contenders this season.

Class 4A Stephenville kicks off the post season for teams in the area on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets, ranked No. 1 for four weeks during the regular season, travel to Burleson Thursday to challenge Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt.

Stephenville is back in the playoffs for the 18th time in 19 years, and the fourth time in five seasons under Head Coach Chad Morris.

Hico Head Coach Wade Williams is taking the Tigers to the postseason for the 10th time in his 18 years.

Hico meets Lone Oak at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Cedar Hill for the Bi-District round of the Class 2A Division 2 playoffs.

In class A, Gorman claimed the District 12-A championship with a 45-0 blanking of Tolar last week to finish off a perfect season.

The Panthers, ranked No. 6 in Class A, begin the post season by facing off with Lindsay.

Tolar finished second in District 12 and will meet Valley View this week..

De Leon recovered from a very rough start to the season to come out third in the league. The Bearcats challenge Collinsville.

Gordon and Strawn are both in the Six-Man state playoffs as well.
