The 2020 Jackets Baseball Camp is set for July 13-15, but Stephenville High School head baseball coach Justin Swenson announced a few changes for this year.
The camp will be at the SHS Honeybee softball field, but registration will start at 8:30 a.m. on July 13 — walk-up and in-person only — across the street in the parking lot of Lem Brock Field, Swenson said.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m., July 13-15. It is for incoming 2nd through 6th graders, and the cost is $50 per camper (checks should be made payable to Jacket Baseball Camp).
Coach Swenson noted that, because the University Interscholastic League has ruled out any indoor summer camps because of the COVID-19 pandemic precautions, the SHS basketball camp will not be held this year.
Baseball campers should bring their own bottle of water each day. Each camper will be required to have their temperature taken each day upon entry to the softball field.
A concession stand will be open during breaks to purchase drinks and snacks (cash only).
Swenson noted, "We will cook hotdogs and pass out camp awards at the end of the camp on Wednesday."
