STEPHENVILLE - Mackenzie Hailey has been named one of the top players in the South Central Region with her selection on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region Second Team Thursday morning.
Hailey has garnered all-region recognition from D2CCA each year of her Tarleton career. This is the third time she has been named an All-Region Second Team selection.
Hailey had an outstanding final season in the purple and white. The Burleson native led Tarleton to a 21-8 record in her senior season and averaged 16 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She shot 48.9 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from behind the arc.
Through her four-year career, Hailey has single-handily written the Tarleton Women's Basketball record book. She ranks second on the all-time scoring list and sits in the top-5 in defensive rebounds, field goals attempted, field goals made, double-doubles, blocks, offensive rebounds, free throws made, steals, rebounds, and free throws attempted. She also ranks sixth in games played and 14th in assists.
Hailey was an All-Lone Star Conference First Team selection and a three-time conference player of the week honoree this season.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II South Central Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.
