Stephenville High School senior Allee Mainord won the individual championship and the Honeybees earned second place in the overall team standings Monday in the Early Longhorn Golf Tournament, played at The Hideout Country Club in Brownwood.

The SHS girls team also featured fellow seniors Bailie Atchley and Callison Wright, along with junior Kylie Roberts.

Mainord qualified for the Class 4A girls state tournament last spring as an individual medalist when she was a junior.

In the boys division at The Hideaway, on Tuesday, the Yellow Jackets took fourth place in the team standings, led by junior Hunter Rudloff. He shot 72 as the individual runner-up.

Another junior, Grayson Traweek, shot 77 for the day. The other members of the varsity Jacket golf team are seniors Denton Heller and Cole Stanley and junior Tyler Heller.

The next competition for the Jackets and Bees will be March 17 at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, followed on March 23 by Stephenvilles tournament at Sugar Tree Golf Course.
