Josh Hawley has been selected to represent Tarleton State University as one of 16 finalists from across the nation to compete for the title of 'Dark Horse Dunker' and the final roster spot in the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship at the State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks.

Hawley and the other 15 finalists have been chosen by the Dark Horse Dunker committee based on video submissions of their best portrayals of aerial prowess, but the final decision belongs to the fans.

Beginning at noon on Tuesday, fans can visit and vote for Hawley in a bracket-style process over four weeks. Hawley will be paired against another finalist for one week of online voting and continue through the bracket as long as the votes keep pouring in.

Fans will be limited to one vote per device per calendar day for each head-to-head bracket matchup. In other words, if you have a smart phone, you can vote once per day on it. It you have an iPad, you can vote once per day on it. Once the clock hits midnight, you are free to vote again for that next day on all devices.

The voting dates by round are:

Round One: Feb. 11-18

Round Two: Feb. 19-26

Round Three: Feb 27-March 5

Round Four: March 6-13

Should Hawley be voted as the winner of the competition, he will be invited to represent Tarleton on the national stage by taking part in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships live on ESPN, held April 2 on Final Four weekend in Atlanta.
