Stephenville High School placed second among the girls and eighth in the boys division in their second powerlifting meet of the 2020 season, Jan. 30 at Hico.

Three Honeybees Jessica Leija, Maddie Durant and Norma Hernandez brought home second-place individual medals in their respective weight classes.

For the Yellow Jackets, Caleb Smith posted a second-place finish, and teammates Ruben Reyes and Gabe Juarez placed third in their boys divisions.

The next meet for the Bees and Yellow Jackets powerlifters will be at home for the Stephenville High School meet, Feb. 15.
