The Stephenville High School Yellow Jackets won their first two games in the Dublin boys basketball tournament Thursday, getting 53 points along the way while improving to 6-4 on the season.

Thursday morning, the Jackets defeated Breckenridge 59-47, before defeating Hamilton 76-33 in the afternoon.

In the win over Breckenridge, Stilwell led the Yellow Jackets in scoring with 22 points. Grayson Traweek added 16, including four buckets from 3-point range.

Stilwell then poured in 31 points in the win over Hamilton, hitting eight 3-point baskets in the process. Traweek again was next with 16 points.

Coach Bill Brooks’ Jackets were scheduled to play Brownwood at 1:10 p.m. on Friday (Dec 6) on the second day of the three-day tournament.

The next non-tournament action for the Yellow Jackets is set for 8 p.m. Tuesday at Benbrook. The SHS boys then will play in the Glen Rose tournament, Dec. 12-14. Their next home game will be Tuesday, Dec. 17 in Gandy Gym against Lake Worth.
