Stephenville High School won the girls division and took fourth place among the boys in a meet held Saturday at Comanche High School.

Blaine Gluck of SHS, competing in the 105-pound class, was named as the meet’s Most Outstanding Lifter after setting a meet record in the squat event at 285 pounds.

Also making a mark at the meet was Honeybee Jessica Ebeling, who set meet records in winning the squat (415 pounds) and deadlift (255) in her division, along with teammate Aubreyanna Ziegler, who won the girls 220-pound division.

On the boys side, Issic DeLaCruz won the 198-pound division with a squat of 500 pounds.

John Sotelo (114-pound class) brought home a second-place finish for SHS. Caleb Smith (220) and Gavin Sharp (super-heavyweight) both placed third.

Yellow Jackets Ruben Reyes (165), Gabrian Juarez (198) and Adrian Cervantez (220) each placed fifth.

Three SHS girls finished second in their division. They were Amiah Rodriguez (114-pound class), Esmeralda Alonso (165) and Kenzie Mayes (181).

Ariawna Burt (132) of SHS took third place in the girls competition, while Jessica Leija (148) was fourth.

The next meet for the SHS girls and boys is set for Thursday at Hico High School.
