Stephenville High School’s Presley Wall and Emily Kirbo have been named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s (TGCA) Class 4A girls all-state team for 2018, coach Kristy Mayes announced.

Also, Honeybee cross country athletes Reagan Henry and Macayla McCann were named to the TGCA academic all-state team, and the Texas High School Coaches Association’s (THSCA) all-state second team.

Christian Brown, a member of the SHS boys cross country team, was named to the THSCA academic all-state second team.

Brown and Kirbo qualified for the state meet recently. It was Brown’s second straight year to advance to the state competition. Kirbo finished 57th. Brown placed 24th.

Both the girls and boys teams won District 7-4A championships this season for Stephenville, with Wall and Kirbo taking the top two spots among the girls and Brown was the runner-up among the boys.

The state meet was Nov. 4 in Round Rock.

Previously, Mayes announced that Daisy Richards of the Honeybee cross country team was one of eight girls in the state named to the TGCA all-star cross country team for Class A through 4A schools.
