Kyle Lindsey is a 6-2, 180-pound senior wide receiver playing football for the Stephenville Yellow Jackets. He earned first-team all-district honors last season.

Lindsey leads this year’s SHS receivers in passes caught with 30, receiving yardage with 511, and touchdown receptions with four.

He also participates in track and field, but was sidelined last spring while he was recovering from a football injury.

Lindsay and the Yellow Jackets will be playing their first-round playoff game this Friday at Pirate Stadium in Granbury, against Fort Worth Dunbar (7:30 p.m. kickoff).

Here are five questions the E-T asked Lindsey after a recent practice session.

E-T: What do you like most about playing football?

Kyle: “It builds lots of relationships. Here it’s a big family. I’ve got like 100 brothers. That goes from freshmen on up.”

E-T: Do you set a goal for yourself each season?

Kyle: “One thousand yards (receiving). My best friend, Blake Aragon, had 900 yards last year. I’m trying to get past him.”

E-T: What are your college plans?

Kyle: “I plan to play football somewhere and study psychology.”

E-T: What occupation would you like to have after college?

Kyle: “I want to get into the police force and be a detective. I’d like to study the brain.”

E-T: Do you have a favorite hobby away from football and school?

Kyle: “I’m a real big tennis player. I like to play with my friends.”
