Dylan Garber is a 6-0, 195-pound senior defensive lineman for the Stephenville Yellow Jackets who is on the A Honor Roll.

This is his third year as a member of the SHS varsity football team. Last year as a junior Garber earned second-team all-district recognition in football.

In six games so far this season, Garber has 78 tackles, including eight solo stops. His total includes two quarterback sacks.

Garber has helped the SHS defense hold opponents under 17 points in three of the Yellow Jackets’ wins on the way to a 4-2 season record. He was part of last year’s squad that was 12-3 and reached the Class 4A Division I state semifinals.

The E-T recently caught up with Garber and offered up five questions to get to know him a little better.

E-T: What is your favorite subject in school?

Dylan: “History. I’m interested in learning about the people that came before us, how they did what they did.”

E-T: Have you decided what you would like to major in at college?

Dylan: “Business administration. I’ve just always been interested in the business world. I like the marketing.”

E-T: What college would you like to attend?

Dylan: “Texas A&M. I’m deciding between Texas AM& and Texas. I like their campus (in College Station) a lot better, and they have a good business program. I also like their tradition and the student experience.”

E-T: What is your favorite hobby?

Dylan: “I like to fish and hunt with my parents. I play guitar sometimes (country acoustic).”

E-T: Who is your favorite musical artist?

Dylan: “Whiskey Myers.”
