In the midst of a season-long 15-match winning streak, Tarleton Volleyball now has a season-best No. 15 national ranking in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

It's the highest ranking for Tarleton this season, with the previous high being last week's No. 17 rank. This is the eighth week of national voting and Tarleton's previous highs were No. 18 and as low as No. 24, while always remaining ranked this year.

Tarleton is one of two Lone Star Conference schools in the top 25, joining Texas A&M-Commerce who is No. 22 in the poll. Tarleton has been ranked in every poll since the final ranking of the 2016 season, which is 23 consecutive weeks in the national spotlight.

Tarleton went 2-0 last weekend, earning victories over UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico. Tarleton has won a season-high 15 straight matches with 13 of its wins resulting in a sweep. Tarleton is currently alone at the top of the LSC standings with an 18-2 record and an 10-0 mark in league play.

Tarleton will start the second half of Lone Star Conference competition this week with a pair of road matches, starting with No. 22 Texas A&M-Commerce on Friday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. followed by Texas Woman's on Saturday at 2 p.m.
