Tarleton continues its rise up the national rankings in the D2Football.com poll as the Texans jumped four spots to No. 20 Tuesday morning.

Tarleton occupied the No. 24 spot in the poll over the last week when they went into Angelo State on Saturday night and handed the Rams a 54-33 loss at LeGrand Stadium. It's the fourth straight game that Tarleton has topped 40 points, which marks the first time for that feat since 2011.

The Texans are one of three Lone Star Conference teams ranked in the D2Football.com national poll, joining Midwestern State at No. 3 and Texas A&M-Commerce at No. 16.

Tarleton will be back home at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville this weekend for a 7 p.m. showdown against Eastern New Mexico, who is coming off a 31-23 loss to No. 5 Midwestern State in Portales last weekend.
