Hannah Huckabee is a senior setter on Stephenville High School’s volleyball team, in her third season as a varsity letterman.

Last year as a junior for the Honeybees, Huckabee and teammate Jayci Morton were the team’s only two first-team all-district players. Huckabee also earned recognition stemming from her classroom work, earning a spot on the academic all-district team.

Huckabee was also academic all-district as a sophomore, and an honorable mention all-district performer.

The E-T recently posed five questions for Huckabee to ponder, and these were her answers:

E-T: What is your second favorite sport, behind volleyball?

Hannah: “My freshman year I played (forward) on the soccer team. I played soccer since I was about age 5.”

E-T: What do you enjoy doing when you are away from school and sports?

Hannah: “I like to ride horses. I have two horses. I learned to ride when I was about 8. I did barrel racing at age 10 to 12.”

E-T: What is your favorite subject in school and why?

Hannah: “Anatomy. Just learning about how things work in the body.”

E-T: Do you have plans made for college?

Hannah: “I’m going to play (volleyball) somewhere. I’ve been in contact with a couple of coaches (Cook Community College in Nebraska and East Texas Baptist). I’m interested in Tarleton and UMHB (University of Mary Hardin-Baylor).”

E-T: What do you want to study?

Hannah: “I want to major in nursing or physical therapy. I’ve just always been interested in it. I’m not sure if that’s what I’m going to stick with.”
