The Stephenville Honeybees won their fifth consecutive game Friday at home, defeating Graham in straight sets, 25-16, 25-18, 26-13.

Chloe Goodman led the Honeybees in kills, with 14, while Jayci Morton added 12.

Morton also contributed 14 digs, and Gabie Lucero recorded 13.

Alee McClendon blocked six shots and had four block points.

Hannah Huckabee was the team’s leader in assists with 19, and Karlee Easterling had 11.

In the subvarsity matches Friday against Graham, SHS lost the junior varsity contest 25-21, 25-22; the SHS 9th grade A team won, 25-20, 25-17; and the SHS 9th B team lost in straight sets.

The Honeybees were scheduled to play Tuesday night at Gatesville. Their next contest will be Friday at home against Joshua (varsity at 4:30 p.m.), for their final non-district game.

Stephenville’s first District 7-4A matchup will be Sept. 25 at home (6 p.m.) against Godley, which is Teacher Appreciation Night.
